Where responses appear

Open your request detail page at `/requests/[id]`. If someone responds, the response appears in the matches or responses section for that request.

You may also return through `/requests/my` and open the request from your own request list.

What a response may include

A response can include:

  • one or more linked listings
  • the time the response was sent
  • the responder type, such as landlord or agent
  • a short note explaining why the listing may fit

The response is not a private chat thread. It is a structured way for eligible responders to send possible matches.

How to assess a response

Compare the response with your original request:

  • Is the location close enough?
  • Does the price fit your budget?
  • Does the bedroom count match?
  • Is the property type right?
  • Does the responder explain any differences clearly?
  • Do the linked listings have enough photos, description, and status information?

If the response is close but not perfect, check the listing carefully before following up.

How to treat linked listings

Open each linked listing and review:

  • price and payment terms
  • location details
  • photos and video where available
  • listing freshness
  • host or agent signals shown by PropatyHub
  • whether the listing still matches what you asked for

Do not assume a listing is suitable just because it was sent in response to your request.

Contact and privacy

PropatyHub does not expose private contact details through request responses. If you choose to follow up outside the request response flow, use normal safety checks before sharing personal information or money.

Never pay inspection fees, deposits, rent, or service charges until you have verified the listing and the person you are dealing with.

When no one responds

Some requests may not receive responses. This can happen when:

  • there is no suitable active inventory
  • responder coverage is low in your area
  • the budget or requirements are too narrow
  • the request needs clearer location, timing, or must-have details

If this happens, edit the request and make the brief clearer rather than assuming the platform has found no possible homes.
