PropatyHub Privacy Policy

Updated 8 October 2026. This notice explains how PropatyHub handles personal information across the website, account and marketplace features, support, and mobile testing paths. It covers property seekers, guests, event organisers, owners, agents, developers, hospitality and venue operators, service providers, and staff or applicants who use those features. PropatyHub is operated by PropatyHub Limited (RC 9293417), a company registered in Nigeria at 237A Purple Street, Jakande Estate, Isolo, Lagos State, Nigeria. PropatyHub Limited is the data controller for the platform activities described here. Contact us about privacy at support@propatyhub.com.

Information we receive

  • Account and verification details: name, contact details, role, business information, identity or authority evidence where requested, preferences and account activity.
  • Listings and acquisition evidence: addresses or areas, descriptions, prices, availability, capacity, permits or operating information, photos and other media, source links, ownership or rights claims, reviewer notes and publication history. A private researched candidate is not the same as a public listing.
  • Requests and communications: property-search briefs, enquiries, viewings, messages, venue or stay enquiries, booking and cancellation records, property-preparation requests, supplier applications, quotations, support cases and dispute material. These records can include information about other people that you supply.
  • Billing records: plans, credits, invoices, transaction and provider references, payment status, refunds and reconciliation evidence. Payment providers handle card details; PropatyHub does not store raw card numbers.
  • Technical information: cookies, session and security data, device and browser details, app version, usage events, error logs and approximate location inferred from a market selection or network information. We do not collect precise location through a device permission without a relevant feature and permission.

Why we use information

  • We use account, listing, enquiry, booking, transfer, service-request, subscription and payment information to provide the service you request or to take steps at your request before an agreement. Our basis is performance of a contract or steps towards one. Where you submit information about another person, we assess the applicable basis separately and do not treat your agreement as that person's consent.
  • We process records needed for tax, accounting, lawful disclosure and other applicable duties on the basis of legal obligation.
  • We assess listing and ownership claims, moderate content, prevent fraud and abuse, investigate disputes, secure accounts and systems, and maintain proportionate audit and recovery records on the basis of our legitimate interests in operating a trustworthy marketplace and protecting users. We balance those interests against affected people's rights and will use another basis where the law requires it.
  • We use consent for optional marketing or non-essential tracking where consent is required. You may withdraw consent without affecting earlier lawful processing. Essential session and security technologies support the service and are not used for optional marketing.

Visibility and sharing

A published listing and selected contact or business details may be visible to visitors. A property request is shown only to the audience described at submission; requester contact details are not necessarily public. Private acquisition evidence, unpublished candidates, support notes and verification documents are restricted to authorised staff and providers with a need to process them. We may share necessary information with the relevant advertiser, seeker, booking party or matched service provider to complete a requested workflow. We also use hosting, authentication, storage, messaging, analytics, support and payment suppliers under appropriate controls, and may disclose information to authorities, advisers or counterparties where law or a dispute requires it. We do not sell raw card details. A third party's own service may have a separate privacy notice.

Cookies and mobile permissions

The website uses required session and security cookies and may use preference or analytics technologies subject to the available choices. Browser settings can restrict some cookies, but core account functions may then fail. The mobile app may request camera or photo-library access so an agent or host can attach listing photos. Local drafts may remain on the device. Photos are not uploaded in the background. Production mobile submission and photo upload remain subject to separate feature controls and approval; this notice does not claim those paths are enabled.

Retention and security

We use the following periods for records we control, measured from the event stated. We remove or de-identify personal information when its period ends, unless a law requires longer retention or a specific dispute, fraud or safety investigation requires a documented hold. We restrict held records to that purpose and review the hold when the matter ends.

  • Account, profile and published-listing information: while the account or listing is active, then up to 12 months after account closure or listing withdrawal or expiry, unless it is part of a transaction or open matter below.
  • Property requests, unpublished listing drafts and private acquisition candidates: while being worked on, then up to 12 months after closure, withdrawal or the last substantive review. Unpublished research does not become a public listing merely because it is retained.
  • Identity and authority-verification evidence: while the verified relationship is active, then up to 12 months after it ends, except where a specific anti-money-laundering or other legal duty requires a longer period.
  • Enquiries, messages, booking and service-request records, and support cases: up to three years after the last interaction, booking completion or case closure. Financial records within them follow the tax period below.
  • Invoices, payment, refund, credit and accounting records needed for tax: at least six years after the year of assessment to which the income relates, and longer only where an applicable law or documented hold requires it. We keep the minimum personal information needed for that duty.
  • Security and diagnostic logs under our control: ordinarily up to 12 months from creation, unless needed for a documented investigation or legal duty. Optional marketing details are kept while consent applies; a minimal suppression record may be retained after withdrawal to honour the choice.

Deletion from live systems may not immediately remove a copy in a protected backup; backup copies leave use through the provider's normal rotation and are not used for ordinary processing. Supplier retention may differ where the supplier is an independent controller or has its own legal duties. You can ask support@propatyhub.com about a particular record, request deletion where applicable, or ask which exception applies. We use access controls and other technical and organisational safeguards, but no online system is completely risk-free. Where suppliers or users are outside Nigeria, transfers must follow applicable data-protection requirements and appropriate safeguards.

Your rights and choices

Subject to applicable law and exemptions, you may ask to access, correct, delete, restrict or receive a copy of personal data, object to certain processing, or withdraw consent. You may also complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission. We may need to verify your identity before acting and may retain records where the law permits or requires it. To make a request or raise a privacy concern, email support@propatyhub.com or use the support page at https://www.propatyhub.com/support. We will explain the outcome and available escalation route.

Updates

We may update this notice to reflect service or legal changes. We will show the new date and give additional notice where required. A change to this notice does not retrospectively authorise a new use of information that requires a different lawful basis or consent.
